About Rise Outdoors

Rise Outdoors run full-day hikes and activities for children aged 6-17 over the school holidays and weekends. Giving your children a chance to disconnect from screens and explore the outdoors with passionate Outdoor Educators and like-minded youngsters. Our team are local teachers, educators and experts, keen to share their love of the outdoors with your children.

Our program is tailored to three different age groups to ensure the best experience and allow for cross-age socialisation. The age groups are:

  • 6-10
  • 11-15
  • 14-17

We offer shorter half-day hikes for children aged 6-10 and full-day hike options for children aged 11-17, ensuring their is an option for everyone.

Our hikes are more than just a walk, each full day itinerary includes different activities designed to educate and help each group socialise. Activities include:

  • Team building games
  • Learning navigational skills
  • Disconnecting from devices to build friendships
  • Building self-pride and confidence
  • Understanding the uses of flora in your local area
  • Being part of a unique experience outdoors
  • Education on traditional land owners
  • Bird watching

While you're busy working during the school holidays or over the weekend, book for your children to get active outside, learn about their local area and disconnect to reconnect with our expert team. Our program offers fun and educational guided hikes that are exceptional value compared to other local providers, all led by a passionate team of qualified educators who would like to share their love of the outdoors with your children.

Our program has been developed with key focus areas and links to the Victorian Curriculum by trained teaching professionals to ensure each experience is educational, but provides value and learning opportunities for your children. For full details on our values and curriculum links visit our 'About Us' page.
