Yes. Safety is our top priority. All staff are fully qualified Outdoor Education professionals, first aid trained, and experienced in managing groups in outdoor environments. We also have insurance to provide full cover for the program.
We monitor forecasts closely and adapt the route or cancel sessions if conditions are unsafe. Parents will be notified in advance and provided a full refund.
We maintain a low child-to-staff ratio (usually 1:10 or better) to ensure close supervision and support.
All staff carry first aid kits and a trained wilderness first aider will be present on every hike. A wilderness first aider has done additional training to provide care in outdoor environments until emergency support arrives. Emergency procedures are in place and reviewed regularly.
Cancellations made 7+ days before the session will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable unless due to medical or emergency reasons.
Transferring a booking can be done two days before the session by emailing riseoutdoorsactivities@gmail.com to avoid your child missing out on the program.
